TAKE THE REINS brought a porch punk party to our season’s closing episode of Chicago Sound Check Presents, complete with songs, stories and even a cheering section. The five-artist band — Courtney Boyers, Matt Benson, Dave Burke, Dan Duffy and Erik Hilger — recently released the single (and video) “Camo Jacket” and are working on some more songs to drop as things start to return to “normal” in Illinois.
Take the Reins played to support Susan G. Komen Chicago, which is raising money to fund resarch into breast cancer treatment and awareness efforts about the disease.
